Crypticon Seattle

K.L. Young, a fan of all things creepy and scary, wanted to use one of my images on a flyer to promote the upcoming Crypticon Seattle. How could I resist?

Behind You

It's been a while since I did a scary monster creeping up on an unsuspecting victim pic.

The Rundown

Goldfish Migration

Max's Lament

This piece will be showing along side a Maurice Sendak exhibition at Wonderful World Art Gallery sometime soon.

I'll post more details of the event when they are announced.

I wasn't go to post this one, it's from a comic project I'm working on, but I couldn't help myself.

Don't Ban The Can

Red Handed
Don't Ban The Can is being held in Melbourne on the 20th of September as a protest to a new law that can have anyone caught carrying a spray can fined on the spot.
Red Handed (above) is my contribution to the show.

You can find out more about the event here.

Near Destruction Of Traffic Signal Box Attracts Media Attention

Well, one of my TSBs was in the newspaper the other day, but unfortunately it was at the Victory Hotel's expense...

The building caught fire last Saturday night/Sunday morning and pretty much destroyed that side of the building. Don't worry guys, my box survived... unless they knock it down while cleaning up.

Here's a photo from my office window where you can see the extent of the damage. There's also a teeny fireman hosing down the roof over a full day after the fire.

Robot Surrender

This one is a CD Cover design for an Italian musician called Snoe. From what I can tell his music is ambient/electronica hip-hop or something like that... I'm not too sure. I guess I'll know more when he sends me a copy.

New Painting

Here is a new painting I just finished. Unfortunately, I'm not very good at photographing my paintings and they didn't turn out very clear.

Jimmy & E.C.

"Very rarely does the Universe pair together such an extraordinary match of character and design. I had me in stitches." Rob Corless*

*No one else has really commented on the greatness that is Jimmy & E.C. so I had to go ahead and quote myself.
But don't just take my word for it, go look for yourself. I'm sure you will agree.

Awakener Part 1

Last week I posted an unfinished version of the first page of my Awakener comic. You'll be able to see the whole story in a future issue of Planet Lovecraft magazine. Not sure which issue yet.

Rob's Comics

Here is the first page (minus the dialogue) for a short comic I've been working on recently for Planet Lovecraft Magazine.
It seems I've been spending a lot of time working on comics lately and I'm about to commence work on a huge story with American writer Dave Radford, which I'm very excited about. Dave has written a story that is insanely grand, complex and amazing. I'll post more details and sneak peeks as we go, so keep a look out.

Little Bug

FYI - Interesting note, this is my 200th post on my Cyanide Sunset blog.
